The Greatest Band of the Last 20 Years?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set release their tenth studio album this coming Tuesday, 17 years after their first album hit shelves back in 1984. To build hype, they’ve already made it available to stream on iTunes so you can listen, but not yet purchase. I’ll be sure to post an album review in the next few days, but before then, I ask you this…Who is the best band of the last 20 years? I’m going with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Please are your answer in the poll below.

  1. I’m feeling some cognitive dissonance about putting Alice in Chains on the poll instead of Bon Jovi or Aerosmith. Such is life, there is a write in slot.
RHCP and Radiohead are tied at 2 votes a piece.

  2. Alice In Chains is totally deserving. Also, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith did a lot of their great work prior to the past 20 years.

This is a very tough question, but if pressed, I’d have to say Metallica. Definitely not RHCP. They’re good but quite overrated in my opinion (sorry, pal).
